We serialize old books, allowing you to read them in your spare time in easily-digestible chunks.
These are books that probably didn't make your reading list during school or after, but that do warrant some attention.
Every post includes the title of the book and a number. The number is the installment. If you should join us in the middle of the book, use the archive below to find the first installment and start reading!
OUR FIRST BOOK: ARTHUR HAMILTON, AND HIS DOG...
This anonymously-penned book was originally created in 1851 for the Massachusetts Sabbath School Society.
As you'd expect, there's a strong Sunday school message. There are also some too-dense paragraphs and a bit of what we might now call "cheesiness". It's not all cotton candy and fun times, though. Arthur's dog may not have much bark, but there's a little bite to this one.
It's a captivating little story that paints a portrait of its era.
We hope you enjoy keeping up with daily passages from ARTHUR HAMILTON, AND HIS DOG.
